Occupation/title: Business Owner/ Educator/Entrepreneur

How long have you been in this role? 19 years in the traditional industry but 3 years with the vision of having like-minded people come together, to not only build their own but also help position people in business and teach them how they can own their own business while helping everyone including themselves grow personally and be more financially independent. concept: Help Others and you help yourself automatically.

How did you initially get started? I knew that a ‘job’ no matter how high up I was, was only going to limit my potentials and I was only helping my boss get rich, but not help anyone else through that process. Even in a traditional business, I had to depend on staff, market and many other factors. The only thing we all have in common is the 24 hrs of the day. No one has more or less of that 24 hrs. But, many of us unfortunately, trade time for money and have absolutely no time for anything else but work. I realized what mattered is how we spend it. Work smarter why harder. I wanted to build something strong in a shorter period of time by being smarter about it and create our own economy, be in control of it and so decided to take the action of starting a business with a different approach and vision.

What advice do you have for other women who also want to be in this role? If you have a passion and A strong WHY, then the sky is the limit for what you can achieve. You are unstoppable. Alone we can do little, Together we can do so Much!

What do you do in your spare time?  I love to Travel, Yoga, Food lover, Read, Listen to great audios.

What or who do you attribute your success to? My MOM

Favorite quote? Life is one to Live, Live it well! Surround yourself with people that are going to lift you higher!

How do you handle your bad days? What’s done is done, what you going to do about it?

What and who inspires you on a daily basis? My Mom, my kids, my WHY and the people around me inspire me the most. Knowing I’m able to make a difference in an individuals life or a household for the better, inspires me to do more.

Who do you consult for business decisions? My inner self. My business experience of 19 years helps as I would not have learnt without Failing in some decisions. Make the mistakes because you at least tried to do something. You are still ahead than anyone else who hasn’t done anything. Ask yourself what are the risk and if its worth it then Don’t be afraid to FAIL, its your FIRST ATTEMPT IN LEARNING! Totally recommend it.

In what ways do you motivate yourself?  I feed off people’s energy, I get motivated even more around the right energy. So I realized that the People were what motivated me the most. I choose to be around the energy I want to be in.

What is your biggest struggle as an Asian woman in today’s society? How do you handle it? I realize it’s not only in today’s society, but has been for decades that we are brought up to be the ‘Perfect’ human. Whether it be a student, daughter, women, wife, mother or career … there was no room to be average. The burning desire to do what your heart tells you to do instead of your brain telling you what is the right thing for you that will make everyone else proud of you was the biggest struggle. Afraid to be anything but perfect was my biggest struggle. Fear to try, so as to not disappoint or fail was next. To be able to overcome this, this has been the story I want to share with the world and to let them know that they are not alone. We’ve got this, and we can do this together.

Do you have a morning routine and what is it? I love the freedom of choice to be able to have breakfast with my son, take him to school and have my me-time with him before starting my day. He is growing so fast and I want to make the best of the time we have together.

What is one piece of wisdom you would like to share with other Asian women? Your Happiness matters, because you have to live it. Make it your priority. Set a goal, know your Why and set an Action plan of what you are going to do to make it happen. You have to want it, we are here to help you make it. We need more of us to build and help each other. It truly is community over competition. You are in charge of your life. Nothing is perfect, and doesn’t have to be. It just has to make you feel Awesome on the inside!
